Guacamole Recipe with Chips

Sometimes making a great tasting dip, will make your day seem better! For me, personally, there is nothing like a guacamole dip to brighten the day. Now lets learn to combine chips and guacamole together. Once you start eating, you wouldn’t know when to stop. Making guacamole dip is very easy. The ingredients needed to make guacamole are bound to be in your refrigerator. All you need are 3 avocados, 1 red onion, 1 tomato, 3 green chilies, 2 minced garlic, lime juice, cilantro, 1 tbsp olive oil, and salt. First, cut two avocados in half, and remove the seed. Scrape the avocado flesh and use a fork to mash it up. You can always blend the avocado flesh, if you prefer it to be smooth. Add the chili, onion, lime juice and tomato. Stir well. Add the rest of the avocado and mix with the guacamole. (This is an optional step) You can add all three avocados together. Stack the chips, and serve guacamole with cilantro!

Perfect Grilling for the Perfect Steak

Cooking a steak this weekend? Check out this way to make sure that your steaks are cooked to your liking!

The Touch Method-

Rare: Let one hand hang limp. With your index finger of the other hand, push gently into the soft triangle of flesh between your thumb and index finger of your hanging hand. It will give little resistance, give way easily, and feel soft and spongy.

Medium-rare: Extend your hand in from on you and spread your fingers. Press the same spot with your index finger of your other hand. The flesh will be firmer bt not hard, springy, and slightly resistant.

Medium: Make a fist and press the spot. It will feel firm and snap back quickly, offering minimum give.

Anything cooked more than that will lose all flavor, but if you want an easier way to cook your steak at these temperatures or higher, Omaha Steaks has a free iphone app that will clock all of this for you. Happy grilling!
